Log a training session

Every session counts.

No opponent, no score: a session takes just a few taps to log, on your own or with your partners. And with its duration, it builds up your training time, month after month.

The shortest route

  1. 1

    Open the form

Tap New, then Training. Already in a match form? Just switch the Activity row.

  2. 2

    Say who you played with

Tap With who? and tick your partners, 7 at most. On your own? Leave it empty: a solo session counts too.

  3. 3

    Set the duration

Tap the Duration row — one chip is enough. It's required: it feeds your training time, and it can't be changed once the session is published.

  4. 4

    Pick the club, publish

The session's club is required; the date and time are already filled in. The button at the bottom becomes Publish training.

Your hours, over time

Training doesn't earn points: it earns hours. Log every session with its duration, and Boast adds them up for you.

In your profile, the Stats tab keeps them under Every court: your training sessions and your training time, sport by sport, over the period of your choice — from 7 d to 1 yr.

The Activities per month frieze shows your rhythm month after month, training sessions included, over multi-month periods.

And every month, the Grinder challenge is yours from 3 hours of training.

Your partners too: the session counts in their stats, with the same duration.

Duration is a one-shot: you set it when you log the session, and it can't be changed afterwards. Take a second to get it right before you publish — a badly timed session stays that way.

Alone or with others

The table row shows You, then your partners once ticked. The people you play with most in this sport come first, and only players in your circle can be ticked.

Player not on Boast yet?

Add them from the same window, with their first name, last name and mobile number: they'll get a text with a link to the session, which they can view without an account.

Everyone gets notified, and finds the session in their activities.

The rest works just like a match

The club, the day and time, the photos: it all works just like for a match, and its guide covers the details.

Recording a match

A session's labels speak of effort and atmosphere, not results. A long session brings up Sweatfest, then Marathon:

Labels: Marathon — It just would not end.Sweatfest — A litre left out on the court.Shipwreck — Nothing went in, nothing went right.Trash talk — They'll still be talking about it at the bar.

The description is yours: your partners don't write it, but anyone can add photos.

The Privacy row sets who sees the session. On Private, only its participants see it: it still counts in your stats, but not towards the monthly challenges.

Once it's published

A session can't be declined and earns no points: with no score, there's nothing to dispute. It counts towards your profile's rhythm and your challenges of the month.

From its page, Edit training lets you adjust the club, labels, description, privacy and photos. The date, time, duration and partners are set in stone: to fix those, delete the session and log it again.

Frequently asked questions

Why isn't my training time moving?

It only adds up sessions logged with a duration: those published before it became mandatory don't have one, and a duration can never be added after the fact. Your next session will get the counter moving again.

Do my matches count toward this time?

No: training time counts sessions only. A match, on the other hand, counts toward the rankings.

A partner wasn't actually there.

Partners can't be changed once published: the person who logged the session deletes it, then logs it again with the right ones.

The clock is running.

Log your next session with its duration: your training time is waiting for you in your profile.
