Under an activity, the thumb — Smatch — salutes the game: its players get the smatch.

Every game brings you closer to a badge. The finest ones go on display in your profile's Showcase.
The smatch
A smatch is the Club's "well played" — our own word for a gesture everyone shares. One tap on the thumb, under an activity in the feed or on its page.
Any player who sees an activity can smatch it, including their own. Its players get notified; you never are for your own smatch.
A second tap, Remove your smatch, takes it back. Smatching again won't notify anyone a second time.
Under the activity, a line says who smatched: tap it to open the list, where you can invite each of them into your circle.
Comments
Anyone who can see an activity can comment on it. Its players get notified, and the notification never quotes your text: it's read on the activity itself.
Type @ to mention a player from your circle. The player you mention gets notified, even if they didn't play, as long as they can see the activity. A comment can mention at most 5 players.
A comment is 280 characters max, and can't be edited: delete it, then write it again.
On the activity page, under each comment:
Remove
Its author, or the activity's creator, can remove it. It'll disappear for everyone, for good.
Report
Shocked by another player's comment? The Boast team reviews every report within 24 hours.
Badges
The Club's collection holds 30 badges, sorted into families. Many come in tiers: you unlock them one after another.
Monthly Challenges
Challenges that come back every month: each one you clear is kept, stamped with its month.
Career
Matches that add up: your first, your tenth, your hundredth, the wins and the streaks.
Feats
The games that break the mould, including surprises that only reveal themselves once you've earned them.
The Club
What you bring to the Club: your circle, your smatches, your comments, your photos.
Your finest badges appear in the Showcase on your profile; one tap opens the full collection, along with everything you've yet to earn.
Only public or circle-only activities count — never private ones.
A badge earned through your games is lost if one of them disappears: a match declined, an activity deleted, set to private or with its club corrected. Those in the "The Club" family are yours for good, except "Coach", which lasts as long as your club recognises you.
A badge you've earned is announced when you come back to the feed if it just landed, otherwise by a notification.
First place
Taking the lead in your circle or in one of your groups, across all sports or in a single sport, earns you a message the next day at 9 am. And if someone overtakes you, that too.
At most one alert every 7 days for the same rankings: enough to keep you posted, without a ping after every match.
Understanding the rankingsThe feed
The feed opens on My circle: your activities and those of your circle. If there's nothing to show, it switches to Everyone, and says so.
At the top of the feed, you pick the sport, the club and Which activities: your circle, everyone or one of your groups. Your choices stick from one visit to the next.
Frequently asked questions
Can I smatch my own activity?
Yes, and nobody gets told.
Who sees my comments?
Whoever can see the activity, depending on its level: everyone, the extended circle of its players, or only its players.
Why was my mention rejected?
The player isn't in your circle, or can't see the activity.
Why didn't I get an alert?
A ranking only sends an alert once it has 2 ranked players, and never twice within 7 days. The alert lands the next day, never the same evening.
