Your playing partners, all in one place.
Your circle is the players you play with. That's where Boast comes alive: your matches together, their activities in your feed, your rankings.
Create an accountThe shortest route
Find them
In My circle, search for a player by name, or pick from Suggestions for your circle.
Invite them
Tap Invite on their row, or + Add to my circle on their profile. If they accept, you're each in the other's circle.
Bring the others in
Share an invitation sends them your link. They create their account, and find you at the top of their partners.
What your circle changes
You pick your opponents and partners from your circle: a match is logged between players who know each other.
Every activity has its own privacy level, set when you log it:
Public
Visible to everyone — counts for the rankings
My circle
My circle and theirs — counts for the rankings
Private
Match participants only — doesn't count toward the rankings
My circle goes beyond your own partners: the circle of every player in the match sees it too. That's the extended circle.
Invitations
An invitation you've received waits at the top of the feed and of My circle, with two buttons: accept, decline. Declining notifies no one.
To remove someone, open their profile: In your circle, then Remove. They're not notified, and you each leave the other's groups.
Your address book
On your circle page, Invite my contacts opens your address book: Pick from my contacts shows which of your contacts are already in the Club, and you invite them in one tap. Where the address book won't open, Add a number adds them one by one.
Your contacts stay private: no one else sees them, and no one finds out they're in your address book. Boast keeps their names and numbers to recognise them when they sign up — and deletes them along with your account.
A contact who hasn't signed up yet? Invite by SMS sends them a link to join you, and the day they sign up, you'll be notified.
Suggestions
Boast suggests the players you probably already know: those you've played with, your contacts, your groups, the regulars at your club, the circles of your partners. Every suggestion tells you why.
The cross dismisses a suggestion for 6 months. Anything you don't dismiss gradually slips down the list, without vanishing.
Playing with someone who's not on the app
Player not on Boast yet?
When you log a match, add them by first name, last name and phone number: they get the match link by text, and join your circle right away.
Their number lets them see the match and claim their profile when they install Boast.
For a child or a relative without a phone, My players, in Settings, lets you play for them.
Blocking
Block, from their profile: you no longer see their activities, they no longer see yours, and your circle link is removed, without them being notified. You'll find them under Blocked players; unblocking won't restore the link.
Frequently asked questions
Are they told if I decline or remove them?
No, neither: their invitation just disappears, or your name leaves their circle — no message either way.
Can you search for a player by phone number?
Not in search, which only reads names. Add the number to your contacts instead: if they're in the Club, you'll see them right away.
How many players in a circle?
As many as you like: a circle has no limit.
What if I want to play without being seen?
Log the match as Private: only the players in it can see it, and it doesn't count towards the rankings.
